Five-star athlete JaCoby Stevens committed to LSU last September, re-opened his recruitment in December, then re-committed to LSU on Monday in a news conference at his high school.
Stevens (6 feet 2, 200 pounds) is considered one of the nation’s top 30 prospects; he stars at both wide receiver and safety. He attends Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Oakland, but his family originally is from Louisiana. He chose LSU over Alabama and Georgia.
Stevens was recruited to LSU by defensive coordinator Dave Aranda and secondary coach Corey Raymond, which may give an idea into how LSU projects him at the next level. LSU also has a commitment from four-star safety Grant Delpit, who plays at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Delpit, who is from Houston, is considered one of the nation's top three safeties.
He is LSU's 19th commitment this cycle.
