Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium will have a lot of orange in it on Sept. 3.
Auburn, who hosts Clemson in its season opener on that date, has called upon its fans to specifically “Wear Orange” for that game.
And while orange (along with navy) is a primary color of the school, it’s an interesting choice given the fact that orange also is a main color for Clemson.
If Clemson fan site TigerNet.com is any indication, Clemson fans love it.

Auburn fan site War Blogle was the first to share the image earlier this month from what it said came from a “pocket schedule.”
According to the “pocket schedule,” Auburn also will “Wear Orange” against Arkansas State on Sept. 10 and LSU on Sept. 24. It will “Wear Navy” against Arkansas on Oct. 22 and Vanderbilt on Nov. 5, which also will be “Military Appreciation Day.” Against Texas A&M on Sept. 17, it will “Stripe the Stadium” in orange and navy.
Both schools – which coincidentally share the Tigers mascot – are meeting this fall as a part of a scheduled home-and-home series. After hosting this season, Auburn will play at Clemson on Sept. 9, 2017.
Auburn owns a 34-13-2 series record against Clemson, with Clemson winning the last two in the series in 2011 and 2012. Auburn last beat Clemson in 2010.
