Brady Ackerman

Brady has been involved with college football as a player,coach and media member for over 25 years. His career as a player at Florida included an SEC Championship in 1991. His coaching career was heavily influenced by Steve Spurrier, Hal Mumme, Mike Leach and Dana Holgorsen. After eight years in coaching he moved to the media working in sports radio and television. His radio stops in Florida included 930 WNZS in Jacksonville, 1230 WGGG in Gainesville and 1080 WHOO in Orlando. He worked in television as a college football analyst on networks Sun Sports, Fox Sports Florida and most recently on CSS/Comcast Sports Southeast. He currently works on the Gator Radio Network as the sideline reporter as well as the pre and post game shows. Ackerman's perspective includes an X's and O's approach that capitalizes on his background in coaching as well as his many contacts within the SEC coaching ranks. His unique approach gives readers and inside look at the game through the eyes of a coach and player. He hosts a daily talk show on floridasportstalk.fm and appears on a weekly podcast with two-time SEC player of the year, Shane Matthews from Florida. He strongly believes all big non conference games ( ie Florida vs FSU) should be played in September.
