Missouri coach Barry Odom tried his hand at a task that likely wasn’t in the job description when he was hired to replace Gary Pinkel.

Odom traded the sideline for the coffee line Wednesday morning, handing out free coffee and chatting with students at the Mizzou Student Center as part of the school’s #CoffeeWithCoach event.

The building filled up fast as students took advantage of the opportunity to not only meet and greet the first-year coach, who formerly served as defensive coordinator before replacing Pinkel in December, but also pick up some free coffee.

Free coffee? That is a guaranteed way to draw students on most college campuses.

After Wednesday's event, Odom - who earns $2.35 million annually, as reported by the Kansas City Star - likely can claim he's the highest-paid worker at a coffee shop on the planet.
